Software Engineer ~ Developper Experience

  • Tenure: January 2024 - Present

With the emergence of a new DevEx division, I was selected to seed a team focused on enhancing the developer experience around Snyk's PR review integrations. Alongside this, I kept the responsibility of partnering on development of Snyk's Slack integration and event-driven AWS offerings. The overall objective being to reduce friction of security tooling and operations as the company shifts into the enterprise space.

Software Engineer ~ Platform Engineering

  • Tenure: August 2023 - January 2024

Having the opportunity for internal mobility, I took on a lateral move to join a core Platform Engineering team focused on extending the Snyk Apps offering to internal and external clients. This included collaboration on various initiatives for third party integrations, authentication, cloud based event-driven systems, webhooks, and API tooling. I also had the chance to take on once more the additional responsibility of the security champion role for this team.

Software Engineer ~ Growth Engineering

  • Tenure: January 2023 - August 2023

Following a promotion, I continued working as an engineer in a Growth team. My work was focused on helping the team shift left while ensuring key features improved the user acquisition and retention funnels. This involved refining my technical skills in DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, observability, and data systems.

I had the opportunity to take on additional involvement as a security champion within the company and participated in an API focus group to feed knowledge and best practices back into the team.

Associate Software Engineer ~ Monetization

  • Tenure: May 2022 - January 2023

For my first permanent job out of university, I was hired into Snyk. In this position, I filled in a Backend/DevOps role in an R&D team focused on monetization and billing of SaaS offerings. The main challenges were technical scoping and architecture for monolith feature decomposition in a distributed ecosystem.

  • Tenure: Summer 2021 internship

During my third university internship, I joined Spiria in two different teams. In the first team I was tasked with modernization of the web platforms at the core of the company. This included backend architecture, API design, and DevOps implementations. In the second team, I led the frontend development to deliver a country wide grant and funding platform serving over 1000 organizations for an external client.

During my second university internship, I was assigned to the Dream Chaser Communications Subsystem (DCCS) project destined for SNC and NASA. My tasks were composed of behavior driven development in Python and flight software development in C/C++. I had the chance to learn about real time OS simulators, payloads/configurations of military standard buses, and ISS/C2V2 communication protocols.

New Products Introduction Technician

  • Tenure: Summer 2017

My first professional internship took place in college, I took on a technician role which involved validation of optical transport platforms before samples would be approved for larger scale production. My work requried physical assembly of devices as well as reverse engineering products and processes obtained via a company acquisition.
